Edavanakkadu
Edavanakad is a small village in the middle of Vypin Island in Ernakulam District. The Vypin Island was formed in 1341 by result of the great storm which created the Kochi port and some islands including Vypin Island. These Island groups are known as Goshree Island that includes, Chenoore, Bolgatty,Mulavukadu, Vallarpadam, Kadamakudy and Vypin. Edavanakad village comes in the Middle of Vypin Island. It has no Tourism Value except the Cherai Beach which is six kilometers away from the Village. Our village has two high schools, two hospitals and a telephone exchange.
Our Panchayath president is sri V.K.Iqbal.
