Chowara is a small village situated near to the new Nedumbassery airport and very close to major towns, Aluva and Kalady. The village is blessed with the mighty river Periyar and lush green paddy fields. The well known Thiruvairanikkulam temple is only around 8 to 10 kms from chowara. The Kanjoor church is also easily accesible from this village. There are severals schools in this village, so to have basic education is not a himalayan task. Around 30 to 35 private buses are servicing in this route which adds to the benefits of the natives.
